I’m Ciprian or Cipi as most people call me. Since you’re here, you should know about my passion for responsible leadership and social impact through volunteering. I started my AIESEC journey almost 4 years ago in Sibiu, continued in Cluj-Napoca, and then in Bucharest as part of the national team and now, I am aiming higher: Argentina.
What is AIESEC?
I joined almost 4 years ago, when I was still a high school student, an organization that would soon change my life, AIESEC. AIESEC is a global organization lead by youth, that strives to achieve peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential by providing leadership experiences to young people. Over the almost 4 years in the organisation I had the chance to learn more about leadership, diversity, global issues, social impact and myself. Hence, I arrived to the conclusion, that even though I have lead several teams, developed projects and contributed to AIESEC in Romania, an experience abroad would take me out of my comfort zone, challenge my values and push me towards a better version of myself through the intensity of the experience. Now, I have this opportunity to be part of the national leadership body of AIESEC in Argentina and would need your help to make it happen.
I am embarking on a journey of one year in Argentina with the ambition to provide amazing leadership experiences to Argentinian youth, experiences that will create responsible, solution-oriented and self-aware young people, people concerned with the world that they live in and who will not hesitate to empower others. In a country where poverty, women’s rights and responsible leadership is at great need, I wish to bring my contribution towards the leaders of tomorrow.
My parents have been supporting me throughout these years and I am immensely grateful. However, the costs of this journey for them alone, are too much to ask. Therefore, I made this campaign. The goal is set to cover the plane tickets to Buenos Aires, a passport, health insurance and living costs for the months of June and July. From the month of August I will receive a stipend to cover food and basic needs, however, I am required to be present in Argentina starting from June.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I am and will be giving my best in every experience that I am given the opportunity to be part of and am very grateful to be able to live a year-long leadership experience in Argentina. If you have been a part of AIESEC, have been in an exchange with AIESEC or just want to support a young person’s journey and resonate with it, I would be very grateful for your help.
